about Astrology
......................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................

One can hardly find any individual who is not interested in finding out what
lies ahead of him. That being so, however significant and far-reaching be
the contributions and achievements of the material Sciences which are aimed
at promoting the progress and welfare of mankind, they are destined to fall
short of achieving this one great ambition of man-viz. to discern his
future.
Astrology fills this vacuum. Astrology is the only Science which can predict
as soon as a baby is born, what he/she is going to be, what line of
education he/she will pursue, what means of livelihood he/she will adopt,
what will be the state of his/her health, what kind of afflictions and/or
ailments he/she is likely to encounter and at what stage, where will he/she
locate his/her life partner, what will be the nature of his/her progeny, how
long he/she is likely to tread this earth etc-in fact the entire gamut of
his/her life.
Herein lie the special significance and uniqueness of the Science of
Astrology. It is not a pseudo-science or one which promotes blind faith as
some self-styled modernists would allege. It is based on detailed
observation of human experiences from time immemorial and analytical
arithmetical calculations; it is rational, relevant and an extremely
practical guide to one's life.
Whereas the other branches of Science confine themselves to a particular
sphere of knowledge or activity, Astrology is all-encompassing and touches
all aspects of human existence.
Just as the telescope which is a contribution of the material Sciences helps
us to clearly gaze at the distant planets and stars in outer space, the
horoscope which is the contribution of Astrology, provides a lucid picture
of one's past, present and indeed future.
As in the other areas of human activity, the unquenchable thirst of man to
make a quick buck has encouraged several quacks and pseudo-practitioners to
enter the arena of astrological practice and such people have brought
discredit to the entire system. Unscientific predictions made and wrong
remedial measures suggested by them have created confusion in the minds of
the gullible public.
